In Case of Peerage, Break Glass

Basics

Name: Henric van den Casteele

Persona: 1460s/70s Burgundy

Heraldic Colours: Green, white

Vigil

Vigil or Drive By?: Vigil, so that people can have a chance to attend if they so choose

Vigil Details: Casual party vibe, with plenty of snacky bits and (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) drinks on offer. I’d like to have a seperate vigil space: decorated with banners, and with low-medium light using lanterns and/or artificial candles would be lovely. I’d love for Amy of Osgoldcross to be involved in decorating the space, if she can make it.

For food, anything generically late-medieval European is fine. I’ve got a sweet tooth, so I’m a particular sucker for things like Juliana/ Maredudd’s candied walnuts; and fritters.

Elevation

Elevation Speakers: does not have to be all of these; listed in rough order of preference. Sent words by proxy are fine :)

  • Laurel: Marcella/ Maredudd

  • Mark: Yannick of Normandy

  • Pelican: Eularia Trewe

  • Populace: Guy de Dinan

  • MoD: Avery Shaw

  • Rose: Jahanara

  • Chivalry: Alexandre d’Avigne

Procession: Something low-key please. My main request is for my herald to be Safiyya, if possible!

Ceremony & Oath: the standard (or a streamlined version of it) is totally fine, but something themed around the Golden Fleece ceremony/ progression to master in a tailoring guild would be incredibly cool.

Title: Laureate (if applicable); Meester if not (unless a gender-neutral Dutch equivalent gets accepted in the interim).

Regalia: cloaks and mantles aren’t great for wheelchairs, so I’d love a brooch or pendant - Oriane d’Avallon’s pride ones are a thing of beauty. Maybe a bourrelet-chaperon in place of the classic cloak/mantle if someone is feeling extravagant?

Scroll

Style: anything vaguely in the style of Simon Marmoin’s/ Loyset Liédet’s manuscript illustrations.

Arms: Device: Per pale vert and argent, a castle triple-towered and an orle counterchanged; Badge: (Fieldless) A millrind vert

Scribe: No real preference! I’d adore anything from Safiyya, Maredudd, Chinvati, Richard of Salesbury, Kytte of the Lake, or Valda.
